Apart from being a designer, l am also a front-end developer. I have been responsible for building and styling the user interface of websites and web pages. I use HTML for structure, CSS for layout and design, and JavaScript for interactivity to create a seamless and engaging user experience. I ensure that sites are responsive, accessible, and optimized for performance across various devices and browsers. I have kept my coding skills sharp by working with experienced and talented people throughout my career. I am proficient in frameworks like React and Angular, as well as a solid understanding of user experience principles and web performance optimization. Below are some examples of the work I have produced, a lot of which involves custom development using HTML, CSS, Javascript, and Angular.
Below are 2 examples of app design and development I have had the opportunity to build in my career. For the first app, I designed it to minimize customer questions over the phone and in store. I developed the app to be simple, minimal, and easy to use since the end users are mainly composed of customers between the ages of 50 and 80. I based the design on what the client wanted and created it using Angular.js. The app mainly contains current inventory information, coupons, and general locations and contact information.
For the second app, I worked with a team of three and together we researched how new students, visitors, and anyone unfamiliar with the IUPUI campus managed to successfully navigate it by themselves. We found that most people would benefit from an interactive map to find their way around campus better. This app included ways to get to desired buildings, rooms, eateries, parking, etc. with an extension that gave the user access to bus routes and main events on campus.
